Today…

Is another day 🙂

I am not feeling the best but I got about 10 hours of much needed sleep last night and that just makes me happy. I also am learning the joys of typing less one index finger.

Had a great weekend with the family. It was my dad’s birthday which also happens to be his brother’s birthday. They were born on the same day 3 years and 30 minutes apart. Wierd. Anyway, Uncle Steve and 2 cousins were there to celebrate with us. It was good times. Everyone seemed to be recovering from one thing or another, but we still had a lot of fun. We noted a few interesting facts, like my grandmother is a little more than half as tall as my cousin’s boyfriend. That was a Kodak moment.

We played some music and did some singing, always fun. We watched a few movies. We played a few games. But what Italian family get together would be complete without exorbitant amounts of food. We had lasagna and cannoli, roast beef and all the trimmings. Wooohoooo.

Everyone seemed to pitch in, it was really very nice even though my mother tends to break out in hives when there are more than 3 people in the kitchen 🙂 My cousins jumped right in to help fill the cannoli, they might make it as Italians yet 🙂 Even my husband and father were put to work.

All in all it was quite enjoyable. I love my family. I love being Italian. I love my Dad and Uncle (Happy Birthday Guys). I love my husband. And I love food.

This week…

I am glad my work week ends today. I have quite a lot to do and I am going to try to get it done this weekend.

Manda and I are going to Disneyland tomorrow, which should be fun…and actually now that I’ve said the word I seem to remember having a wonderful evening with my husband last night.

We had gone to The Block to buy a few software books and we noticed that there was a new bowling alley there. So we checked it out. I have to say I think it is the coolest bowling alley ever. It is very swanky and everything is new and clean, I have never seen a new bowling alley. And I bowled a great 2 games (for me). The shoes were even new and clean…wow! There were couches by the lanes and the waitress brought us dinner and drinks right there. It was awesome!

Anyway, I am looking forward to non-work time this weekend and some fun. But not really rest. I don’t think there will be any rest. I am simply too busy.
